We understand that losing a loved one is an incredibly difficult and emotional experience. During this challenging time, you may feel overwhelmed by the decisions and arrangements that need to be made. Our goal is to provide compassionate support and guidance to help you navigate these steps with care and sensitivity. We are here to support you and ensure that your loved one's funeral is a meaningful and respectful celebration of their life.

Contact the Parish Office

The first step in arranging a funeral is to contact our parish office.

Scheduling the funeral

Once you have contacted the parish office, Father will work with you to schedule a date and time for the funeral Mass. He will then discuss the details of the funeral service including:

  • Share memories and information about your loved one.
  • Choose readings from the Lectionary.
  • Select music for the service from the Church hymnal.
  • Discuss any specials requests or family traditions.
  • Discuss if you would like a meal following the service.

The funeral typically consists of the following elements:

  • Rosary: Typically held the evening before the funeral.
  • Funeral Mass
  • Graveside Service: This takes place at the graveside and includes final prayers and the committal of the body.

Choosing Readings and Music

The Catholic funeral Mass includes specific readings and music that are chosen to provide comfort and hope. We have a selection of suggested readings and music to choose from, but you are welcome to discuss any particular preference with Father.

Funeral dinners for those who are not registered parishioners, depending on the availability of our Altar Society, are charged at a rate of $10 per plate.
