HOW TO GO TO CONFESSION
  • Father will greet you, then you will say, "In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen."
  • Next you will say, "Forgive me Father, for I have sinned."  You will then tell Father how long it has been since your last confession.
  • Tell Father your sins.
  • Father will then talk to you and give you a penance.
  • Next, you will pray the Act of Contrition.
  • Father will pray the words of absolution. Your sins are forgiven.
  • Finally, you will say, "Thank you, Father."
  • You will then leave to do your penance and spend time in prayer.
